Streak of hope

I see a streak ray of hope,
When a little ant fights to lift a big grain,
A ray of sunlight trying to add light to Neon lit offices,
Lover hoping to meet his lady love at least for a minute,
An Indian woman trying to educate her girl child,
Widow hoping her husband alive for a second to express her love,
I see a steak of hope.

I see a streak of hope,
When a software engineer struggles with errors in his program,
An orphan child waiting for a Christmas gift,
A deer running away from a hungry lion,
Old beggar with tears filled eyes looking at a man for generous alms,
An ailing man praying for another day of life,
I see a streak of hope.

I see a streak of hope,
When aged parents in old age homes talk of their sons abroad,
A farmer looking up the sky after plowing his little land,
An issueless couple visiting a kindergarten,
Life prisoner’s parole being accepted for a week,
A dog waiting for bones after his master finishes biriyani,
I see a streak of hope.

I see a streak of hope,
When a little sapling breaks open tight soil to live,
A baby forcing its way to see the world from a womb,
Crippled puppy trying to walk its way to food,
A dumb man trying to convey his argument,
Fisherman struggling to reach shore after his catch,
I see a streak of hope.

I see a streak of hope,
In every little things around me,
From humans to animals, from richest to the impaired,
Life runs only on hopes,
For there is nothing beyond hoping for the best,
Hope your way, the rest would follow you.

For behind every gloomy dark night,
There is and will be a bright sunny day…
